About us

The Neurodiversity Practice (Ireland) is an online adult assessment service offering neuroaffirmative Autism assessments for adults in Ireland. Our approach combines clinical expertise with a thoughtful, person-centred style that recognises both the strengths and challenges of neurodivergent individuals.

The practice was founded by Teri Goldstone. Teri completes all Autism Consultations and Assessments herself. She is a registered and accredited Chartered Psychologist with The Psychological Society of Ireland (C. Psychol. PsSI) and has over 10 years of experience working as a Clinical Psychologist with Autistic adults and adolescents.

Our ethos

We are grounded in a neurodiversity-affirming understanding of Autism. That means we recognise Autism as part of natural human variation, while also taking seriously the real challenges that can arise when a person’s needs are not recognised or supported.

We do not rely on narrow stereotypes or outdated assumptions about what Autism ‘should’ look like. We understand that Autistic adults can present in many different ways, particularly when there has been significant masking, compensation, trauma, or long-standing mental health difficulties.

The table has water glasses, a small mushroom-shaped lamp, and a vase with two white calla lilies. The background includes wooden and curtain elements.

Our Approach

Respectful

We know many adults come to assessment after years of confusion, self-doubt, or invalidating experiences. We aim to offer a process that feels containing, clear, and humane.

Collaborative

Your lived experience is central to our process. Assessment is not something done to you; it is a process of gaining understanding with you.

Clinically rigorous

Our assessments are evidence-informed and grounded in best-practice, professional standards.

Practical

The outcome should leave you with something useful: not just “a label” or “no label”, but a clearer understanding of your unique experiences and what may help going forward.
